What Tom Cruise Shows Us About Jesus

I was speaking with my husband yesterday. I can't even remember the topic. But one thing he said really stuck with me:
He started talking about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Before, people were against her marrying him. They made up all these excuses of why she shouldn't marry the guy. Now that they are married, these same people claim that all her recent success is due to the Tom Cruise machine. She is branching out into new possibilties because of her husband. All her recent progress was due to her husband opening up the doors for her (so the skeptics say).
I answered: Perhaps he saw greatness in her and his love spurred him on to help her delve into new possibilities. His love causes him to help her reach her full potential.
How often can people see that about us? Can they tell that our Husband, Jesus, opens up the realms of possibilities beyond what we can ever hope for? Can people around us look at our lives and say, "It's only because of Jesus that this is happening! Otherwise, forget it! This person can't pull that off on his/her own..." Can the world you live in tell that you are getting some serious help?
If not, perhaps its because you are dreaming too small. God wants to do the impossible through you. And that doesn't necessarily have to mean that you will start a perfume line or become a famous actor. But it can be something as simple as allowing boldness to come from your mouth to speak when your personality is to stay quiet (or vice versa!). It can mean becoming a manager where you work when you're currently the mailroom coordinator. It can even mean writing a million dollar check someday for the work of the Gospel.
Tom Cruise loves his wife. Even a blind man can see that.
But your Husband loves you to! And He has access to things you haven't even thought of at the moment.
Why not dream with Him today? The possibilities for you are endless.
