Are You God's Favorite?
From the May 4th addition in my latest book. For the most impact, please read Proverbs chapter 4:
Today’s power verse comes from verse three: For I was my father's son, tender and only [beloved] in the sight of my mother.
When I was thinking about this passage, I remembered how one of my friends introduced me to her friends. She said, “I use to think that I was God’s favorite, but apparently it’s Raquel…” She would say that jokingly because when her and I got together to pray, it was like Jesus was on the red line! Things moved quickly. Supernaturally even. She would often laugh and call me and say, “I’ve prayed already for this or that. Please come in agreement with me.” As soon as I would, and I mean as soon as I would, manifestation would happen!
I believe manifestation happened not because I’m God’s favorite, but because my friend Holley and I would always be in complete agreement when we prayed. We completely believed 100% that God heard us. That He loved us. That His Word was final authority and that settled it.
The great thing about this passage is that we are all God’s favorite. God sees us through the Blood Sacrifice of Christ if we have chosen Him. He looks at us with great tenderness and calls us His Beloved. It is because He loves us that He corrects us. That perfect Love is the reason that God has set up things for our benefit. It’s that Love that moves Him when we cry out to Him in faith.
So perhaps Holley was right after all. I am His favorite. But so are you!
NOTES (the journal part of the book) Do you believe God sees you with great tenderness and calls you His Beloved?
