Rockerfeller Who?

From the November 27th page of the book The 1 Minute Guide to health, wealth, & happiness: Wisdom from the book of Proverbs

For the best benefit, read the 27th chapter of Proverbs

Today's power verse comes from verse 23: Be thou diligent to know that state of the flocks, and look well to thy herds.

Economic success, as much as we would want it to last forever, can turn at any moment. Rockefeller is associated to wealth, but how much more is the name Gates? The Roman Empire no longer exists. Even the city of Babylon has disappeared.

There are many reasons that a business can be lost. In order to avoid that, we must use wisdom in business analysis and foresight. Reasons such as changing of laws, deaths, economic climate, taxes, war, and theft for example need to be considered. Your business should remain fluid so that it can flow with the changing times.

Your job or business is part of God's blessing on you. He promised that work is a gift from Him. Part of your diligence is to analyze where you are and what your future will be. God's best for you is not to just go to work and clock in and out like a drone. You should be excited to wake up everyday knowing that you are contributing to something. What you do matters. You are where you are at to be blessed, but more importantly, to be a blessing.

It's easy to fall into a slump or to get comfortable. It's human nature to lean toward being slothful. We like to be comfortable. We like routine. Although habits can be good, staying comfortable doesn't allow you to grow into the person you are created to be. Without resistance, how can your body grow stronger? It's the same with you.

Everything takes effort. Do your best to remain diligent and plan for the future and leave the rest up to God.
