Foreseeing to Avoid
keywords: how to set personal goals, how to set your goals, whatever will be will be, what ever will be will be,how to avoid bankruptcy, how to avoid divorce, how to avoid foreclosure, A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
Today’s power verse comes from verse three: A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
Although this isn’t specifically speaking about making a plan, this is another benefit about making one. When you make a plan and get some good counsel, good counsel will be able to help you foresee any danger or any hindrances your plan might be faced with.
When we prescribe to the notion of “Whatever will be will be”, we end up taking whatever comes. And those things that are coming are rarely the good things you want! You end up suffering some consequences that could have been avoided.
Many of the things we suffer are simply because we have failed to understand the consequences of the choices we were going to make. Someone who is wise will see the destruction indulging into sin will make, and run from it. Someone who does not understand why the temptation is there will follow it and reap the outcome.
Whether it’s in planning or avoiding the traps set out for you to be destroyed, both need to have a willing participant in order to succeed. You need to choose to not just allow things to happen to you. You need to choose to take control and use the power that God has in Christ made available for you.
It’s completely up to you if you want to succeed or not.

For a limited time, a few of the devotionals will be posted for your spiritual enrichment in this blog. These are taken from the one year devotional One Minute Guide to Health, Wealth, and Happiness: Wisdom from the book of Proverbs © 2007, Raquel Soto All rights reserved
How to read: Chapter of the day correspondences to the day of the month (October 11th read the 11th Chapter of Proverbs). There is one power verse in that chapter for the day. The power verse of the day is then turned into the day's guide.
