Who Are You Hanging Out With?

Today’s power verse comes from verse 20: That thou mayest walk in the way of good [men], and keep the paths of the righteous

Whether you realize it or not, who you hang out is who you end up being like. I read somewhere that the five people who you spend your time with the most are the ones you end up being like.

If you are honest with yourself, you will see that the statement is true. There are aspects of your life that mirror the ones you hang out with. So if you life isn’t where you want it to be, who’s life is it mirroring? Is it mirroring the life God has set up for you in His Word? If not, whom have you been allowing to influence you?

You are living in a great time where you can receive influences from all over the world. You have the choice now to get in the company of some of the wisest, kindest, intelligent people on the planet. It’s right at your fingertips via the Internet. There is no longer an excuse that you can’t get hooked up to a good church. Some churches offer an e-membership if you live more than an hour from them!

So if your life isn’t where you want it to be, find the people who are living the God kind of life. Get in their company. Find like minded people and go hang out with them. Build yourself up so that you can fulfill the destiny God has planned for you.
